Coach and former camper Mike Riddle posted a career best this week, winning gold at the first Winter Dew Tour event in Breckenridge. After winning the preliminary round the day before, Mike Riddle had troubles in the first of his two final runs, but rose to the pressure like a true champion and laid down a second run that none of the other competitors could touch! Starting with a double, and finishing with a massive switch 900, Mike was pretty much on fire, going huge and displaying unbelievable grabs and style, on even his most difficult tricks. The crowd went wild as the score was announced, and Mike climbed the podium for his first Dew Tour victory!
Fellow Momentum Coach Justin Dorey, definitely led the “best crash” category in his first run, after catching one leg on the deck while landing a gigantic double flip, exploding into the flat bottom of the pipe like a grenade. Luckily, Justin is built of solid brick, and simply brushed himself off, then headed back around for his second run. He redeemed himself on his second run, stomping the double with authority, and flowing into the rest of his large and highly technical run. Things were looking flawless until the bottom, when he wobbled on one of his switch landings, having to settle for 5th place, a solid result to start off the season.
