Words cannot express the deep deep sorrow we feel at the news of Sarah’s
tragic death. She was one of our most talented campers and grew into one
of our most loved coaches. She was an inspiration to everyone. The world
will be an emptier place without her positive spirit and she will be
sorely missed. We send our heartfelt wishes to Rory and her family.

Long time camper, long time coach, Sarah has been a part of Momentum since 1997! One of our most modest and loved coaches, Sarah always has a smile on her face, and a positive attitude, inspiring campers year after year. She has been a pioneer in the women’s freeride arena and her long career has been filled with podium-topping results at the X-Games, US, European + Japanese Opens, Dew Tour and FIS World Cup and World Championship events. She has also won multiple awards and starred in many movie segments. She married fellow Momentum coach and pro skier Rory Bushfield in 2010.

• 4 Time X-Games Half Pipe Gold Medalist (2011, 2009, 2007, 2003) and 2 time silver medalist (2006, 2005), also 2011 European X-Games Champion.
• 2011 – World Cup Overal Halpipe Champion
• Winter Dew Tour 2009 & 2010, multiple medalist, including a win at the Snowbasin Superpipe Finals!
• US open – 10 time medalist (including 5 gold)
• ESPY 2007 Best Female Action Sports Athlete (Only skier to ever receive this award!)

The first female to successfully land a 720, 900 and 1080 in halfpipe competition.
