Activities

Every day after skiing we offer free activities at 4 pm and every evening our private pro-level trampoline is open from 7:45 pm until 9:30 pm. The activities are always changing and each day and we usually offer 3 options for you to choose from. After 3 days of skiing we take a day off from the mountain to let your body have some rest and recovery. On that day we run activities in the valley from 11 am until 6 pm. Here is a list of the free activities we offer at Momentum Camps:

Water Ramp

Waterramping is an important part of our coaching program. This is the SAFE way to perfect your aerial skills before trying tricks on snow. We have sessions scheduled on most afternoons and the day off, which are always supervised by a CFSA certified Aerial coach to help you get the tough tricks figured out before you try them on snow. We supply the wetsuits and skis, all you need to bring is your helmet and ski boots. If you normally use skis shorter than 140 cm, you may need to bring your own. Your snow skis should work fine.

Trampoline

Get your air sense and try the moves you want to do on the mountain, each evening at the trampoline session. We always have a certified trampoline coach on hand to help you work out the technical tricks safely.

Mountain Biking

Whistler is now regarded as the #1 Mountain Biking destination in the world, and we take full advantage. Whistler has some of the world’s best single track riding. We’ll supply you with a Mountain Bike and all the safety gear.

Monkido Aerial Adventure

The Monkido aerial adventure tree to tree courses are elevated obstacle courses set in a beautiful Douglas Fir forest, and securely suspended between the trees at 10 to 60 feet off the ground! This self-managed system allows you to move independently through a series of surprising and progressively challenging tree to tree elements. With multiple activities in a course, children, youth and adults get to decide how far and how fast to exercise agility, endurance and confidence. Some of the elements of the park include zip lines, suspended bridges, scramble nets and swinging logs.

Wakeboarding

On the day off in the middle of camp we offer wakeboarding and wake surfing sessions on Green Lake with WakeLife. They supply all the gear so all you need to bring is your courage.

Paintball

Paintball has always been one of the most popular day-off activities at camp. Whistler paintball has several playing fields deep in the Whistler forest and supplies camo gear and semi-automatic paintball guns. If you’ve got a loose trigger finger make sure you bring a few extra bucks to load up on ammo.

The Core Climbing Gym

The heart of The Core is an amazing 5500 square-foot indoor rock climbing wall. Find your own challenges, then conquer them – from easy kid-friendly routes to crack climbing, steep overhangs or tricky slab climbing. This is the place to learn or get stronger for the outdoors.

The Lakes

There are 4 beautiful lakes in the Whistler Valley which are perfect for cooling off in on a hot day. Lost Lake is a favorite and it’s only a 15 minute walk or 3 minute free bus ride from the hotel.

Beach Volleyball/Lake Party

On the last evening of each session we have a pizza party at one of the local parks, along with the famed ‘Oakley Challenge’, Prize Giving and Awards Ceremony.

Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball

Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, and Basketball are great ways to get to know the other campers and coaches.

Skatepark

For all the Skateboarders, In-Liners and BMXers out there, Whistler has a world-class skatepark less than a 5 minute walk from our hotel. The park features a bowl section, 1/4 pipes, rails, spines, and transitions of every kind. Helmets mandatory as we don’t want concussions keeping you away from skiing!

Disc Golf

Whistler has 2 Disc Golf courses — a pro length course and a fun course in the woods near our hotel. We usually play a couple of times a week on the fun course, but are always ready to entertain on the pro course if anyone is up to it.

Brain Surgery

It’s not as scary as it sounds. Two-time Olympian and Camp Director John Smart leads a mental training seminar on the day off that is designed to give you the mental edge when it comes to competition and performance. If you are serious about winning and performing at your best this is a must.

The Whistler Rec centre has a fully equipped gym, swimming pool and ice arena. On those rare rainy days, we usually organize a group to head to the Rec centre.
